Q&A: Red living room furniture, what color walls and drapery?
Question by hairdoer: Red living room furniture, what color walls and drapery?
My living room furniture is red, I’m wondering what color to paint the walls, and what color window treatments I should get. My coffee table and end tables are walnut, and I have hard wood floors.

For paint, you could go with a deep brown or a slate gray. I think gold window treatments would work with a red couch and brown walls. Not a shiny gold, but more of a sheer gold. Experiment by picking up some paint samples at Lowe’s or Restoration Hardware. Have fun!

depends on the shade of red of the furniture.
A sand or tan color would work best for the walls.
Window treatments might look good in a dark bamboo roman blinds.
Ok i’ll give you some color options to consider:
Blue walls + white window treatments
3 walls white & 1 red wall
Light fawn and dark chocolate brown window treatments
black & white drapery, with a pale blue/green on the wall
